Are you a self taught artist, or what studies did you do to get where you are today?

I’m self taught, I would mostly just look to YouTube to help me develop my technical skills. Apart from that I just practiced and made mistakes until I got it right.

What tools, programs and apps do you love or cannot live without?

An app I use frequently is “poster”. It helps me to edit my reference pictures to bring out a high contrast in the tones of the picture.

Your art provides inspirations to so many others.  What or who inspires you?

Artists that inspire me are Banksy, Sage Barns and Hush.

Can you describe your process including how long a piece of art or photography takes you from concept to complete?

It’s hard to say, some take only a day, others can go for weeks. Sometimes I’ll stew over a concept for a few weeks before I put it onto a canvas. So it’s always different.

What part of your process do you love the most?

I love the moment that it starts to look like what I imagined it would, that’s always very fulfilling.

If you weren’t an artist, what do you think you would be doing for work?

Well I have a degree in business and psychology, so perhaps something in that field.

Who is the most fascinating or inspiring person you have met or worked with?

I have only had a brief encounter with this person. But there is a artist in Perth called Feildey, she does amazing tutorials for artists that are learning and she does it in such a perfect way that she makes you feel like anyone could learn.

Name an underrated artist (if you know one)?

Aiden Smith, he’s pretty bad ass.

What artwork of yours are you most proud of?

Probably a piece I did a few months ago. It was a little out of my comfort zone so I was happy to finish it and have it looking good.

What’s next in the professional pipe works for you?

At the moment I’m painting wall murals, I love painting bigger so I’m taking every chance I can.

Bonus fun question

What is your pet peeve?

Cleaning up after myself and maintaining my paint brushes!!!!
